What I Want Now:: Spring Round Up...

The weather on Friday was beyond! I flamboyantly skipped out of my apartment and to Fifth Ave wearing a sleeveless shirt with my recent wedge sandal purchase. Seventy five degrees has never felt so good and as usual, was too good to be true (we're back to the mid 40's and 50's this week). However the fluke on Friday got me thinking and excited for the Spring that is inevitably coming...which also means the closet switch-a-roo, clean out, and refurbish. So while bolting from shop to shop on Fifth, I mentally started a spring must have list to be transferred to paper computer.

As my friends will attest, I am a dog LOVER. Especially canines with flat noses that are stocky in build, snore, and slobber. So when I saw this Givenchy Rottweiler tee I went into a frenzy. Ok, not exactly the epitome of Spring, but I can make it work!

75% of everything I tried on or purchased over the weekend was in some shade of neon. I'm in desperate need of a new bag, and this Furla candy bag has my attention.

Denim is nothing new to my wardrobe but a few pieces to revive things can't hurt. An oversized button down with tails is a "slept through my alarm and need to be out the door five minutes ago no brainer." The oversized slouchy cut offs will be the replacement for my beloved harems when it is too hot.

do you live out loud...

I have been semi panicked and anxiously awaiting the launch of the Rachel Rachel Roy Fall 2010 Look Book. At the beginning of the summer I was asked to model (I use that term very lightly) as part of their real women ad campaign. Excited and a tad hesitant I accepted. I mentioned this a couple months back right about here! The day has come and my video, images, and quote, "Laughter is my first language" are all posted for the world to see!

(yeah that's me, bottom right)

Head on over to the Rachel Roy site, this is easy...www.rachelroy.com to see how everything turned out. View our statements, check out our looks, and meet some talented women I'm honored to know and be associated with.

Again, thank you so much to the Rachel Roy staff, Richard, photographer Dan Monick, powerhouse styling duo Anda and Masha...I had the best time and loved working with you all!

Coco's Most Wanted...

FOR BEING SPECTACULARLY CHIC

L'Agence Long Sleeve Maxi Dress
The moment I met eyes with this long sleeve henley dress, it was love. It's exactly what I want for fall. It's an opportunity for copious amounts of accessories, and pairing with my jacket collection is endless... reason enough for me to wear it daily...ok every other day! No, but really, this dress is sheer genius. Though it may seem a bit beige (aka plain) you have to look past the simplicity. Henley for fall, so smart, ensuring that I'll be warm and toasty walking around in the city's chill. Then you have the long silhouette, I'm a sucker for a floor sweeping dress. I love the dress worn with the tough and rugged combat boots but I have my own styling ideas...

I'm in love with this jacket from Rachel Rachel Roy...a combo of two of my favorite fabrics, leather and (faux) shearling! Since I'm swapping out the combat boots, this still gives the look an edginess to it. I will be wearing this jacket for the entire fall and winter seasons!

If I'm going to be donning a floor sweeping dress, I'm definitely going to need to add some height to my 5'4 frame. I've passed these in the Steve Madden Soho window too many times now and just need to make them mine already. Army green is my go to color for F/W and anything with stud like embellishments I can't resist. I love that these boots have an air of clog to them and I always find that I'm most comfortable in a platform when it comes to heels.

As far as accessories go, I feel it only necessary to pile and layer on necklaces in mixed metals, maybe even something with a feather or two in the design. Oh fall, you can't get here soon enough! What are you anticipating for the 55 degree weather?!

You Better Work, Cover Girl....

Saturday I did the unthinkable... I was a model in a recent Rachel Rachel Roy photo shoot! I'm used to being on set as a stylist/assistant so being in front of the camera was a bit terrifying...But I must say, I had a TON of fun dressing up, having hair and make up done, and feeling like a million bucks. There was a large group of fabulous women involved in the shoot. I didn't get to meet everyone but last week during our first fitting I met Keanna. We became fast friends and chatted between fittings, interviews, and photo shoots.

How gorgeous is she?! Totally adore her! (follow her on twitter @almostkeanna)

I snapped a quick picture before I started my shoot. Head over heels for my outfit...HELLO did you get a look at the shoes?! 100% me/my personality. You can't tell from this image but I was sporting my gold metallic nails (last seen here).

I had the best day and tons of fun! Everyone I worked with was INCREDIBLE. A little embarrassed to admit that I'm totally in love and obsessed with the RRR team. Thank you so much for letting me be a part of the shoot!...it is such an honor to be a part of this project and to have the chance to work with each of you.

I can't wait to see how it turns out!
