Going To The Chapel...

In three weeks I will be heading to my friends, Jess and Tyler's wedding. I can't believe it is already time to send them down the aisle!!! The happy couple is very artistic, intelligent, and all around lovely, so when it came time to think about what to wear I knew I could think outside the box.

*1:: I saw these Tom Binns earrings and fell in love. A DIY project is definitely in order.

*2:: A little cliche but a "love bird" necklace is delicate and sweet to counter balance the earrings--my dress needs some kind of neck adornment and this is subtle enough.

*3:: My mom always tells me I look better with my hair pulled back and this is my compromise. I love the casualness of the style and the fact that it will highlight the statement earrings.

*4:: I adore the three gowns from Tory Burch's S/S 2012 collection. I sent this image to my mother and she has recreated, with alterations to the design, the dress in an incredible purple-burgundy color.

*5:: Because you always have to have options (more is more is more is more and never enough!) especially for all the events surrounding the festivities, I'm having my mom make a hybrid of this dress and the previous dress.

*A not so edited pantone color strip to help inspire my wedding day blissful ensemble.

Jess & Tyler= ❤

Can't wait to show you pictures from the big day soon! And check back tomorrow to see which of my friends fall looks we are decoding!

That 70's Show...

A couple weeks ago I was invited by Tory Burch to visit her showroom and preview her S/S 2011 collection. It was everything I love about clothes and fashion and completely inspired by the 70's. The collection housed everything from crochet skirts, bell sleeve maxi dresses, and even a pair of high waist denim flares (you know my obsession with bells and flares)!

This baja is so major! How adorable and juxtaposed would it be paired with these gold lame pants?!

Totally fell for these denim clog/espadrille hybrid. A summer must have!

National Business Women's Week...

Tory Burch's foundation is one organization that helped kick off the start of National Business Women's Week yesterday. The foundation provides economic opportunity to women and their families in the US. Tory Burch, together with ACCION USA provides small business loans to women entrepreneurs who normally would not be able to receive business loans from the bank. Tory Burch has created a capsule collection and proceeds go directly to the foundation. The collection ranges from silk scarves to tote bags and sandals all displaying the signature sunflower logo...The logo is created from a pendant Tory's father gave to her mother.

In honor and support of Tory Burch's foundation and the cause, I am giving away a copy of the foundation's CD featuring artists like Melanie Fiona, Citizen Cope, and Santigold. For a chance to win, please comment on this post leaving your blog URL and/or email.

* One winner will be randomly selected and contacted by e-mail after Sunday, October 24, 2010; if you do not have a blog or contact e-mail on your blog, please include it with your comment for notification. Unfortunately, this give-away is open to u.s. readers only.
