POW! Bright In The Kisser...

Forgive me bloggers for I have sinned. I have forsaken you all in the name of the work (which has been INCREDIBLE, I love my job). However I'm getting back on track and re-rooting myself in inspiration. Prior to my leave of absence, you heard me rant and rave about all things neon. Not much has changed, in fact I think I might be even more obsessed with the bold and beautiful, but this time interpreting it in new ways and incorporating it with the color blocking craze.

I mean seriously, how incredible are these boldly defined kissers?! Will definitely be recreating this look ASAP.

Christmas or Sample Sale Season??...

I can't ever decide which I like better, Christmas or the special time that happens in the fashion world twice a year-Sample Sales! As the warm weather settles in designer are setting up shop for you to snag bargains on their spring/summer inventory. She's Always Buzzing Just Like Neon, Neon...

A couple of weekends ago I headed to Coney Island with my friends. We met up at Nathan's and I freaked when I spotted Roxy. She was rocking a neon yellow/green Marc by Marc belt. I was drooling over it all day.

PS- You're going to have to get use to my affection for all things fluorescent this S/S

Wardrobe Diaries::Put It Together & What Do You Got...

I have a new found obsession with all things color--especially neon. I've always been a basic/neutral kind of gal but as I start to feel summer springing upon us I can't help but want to throw on a medley of prints and colors. This last weekend the weather was perfection, so for brunch with a few friends there was no holding back.

Cardigan:: Lela Rose cropped cardigan

Bra:: H&M polka dot bandeau

Pants:: H&M floral print harems

As I start warming up to the idea of spring and summer I'm noticing that my growing wardrobe is chalk full of the bold and beautiful neon family. The last couple of weekends I've acquired some key illuminated pieces.

*A mesh leotard from American Apparel to layer under tanks with low cut arm holes. I can already tell this is going to be a staple--and only the beginning of an expanding 'keep your cool' layering collection.

*I was hysterical when I found this H&M bag at Beacon's Closet a couple weekends ago. It's an envelope with a small handle on the back side right beneath a silver exposed zipper. The color is magnificent, the size perfect for a night out, and the rubbery plastic material gets me every time.
